\/>\n<strong>Yarns:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Warp:\u00a0 Pacolet Valley Fiber Company Southern Bales Fingering (natural);<\/li>\n<li>Pattern Weft:\u00a0 Pacolet Valley Fiber Company Heather Fingering (blues, aquas and purples), Pacolet Valley Fiber Company Southern Bales Fingering (blues, aquas);<\/li>\n<li>Ground pattern weft:\u00a0 The Mannings 8\/2 Unmercerized Cotton (natural)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong>\u00a0 Weaving &#8212; rigid heddle with pickup sticks<br \/>\n<strong>Completed:<\/strong>\u00a0 July 2, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>This was my first experience using pick up sticks to create a pattern weft with the rigid heddle.\u00a0 It was fun!<\/p>\n<p>I did feel that the colour in the variegated pattern weft didn&#8217;t really &#8220;pop&#8221;.\u00a0 For coordinated placemats, I&#8217;m considering using the same variegated yarns in a &#8220;clasped weft&#8221; approach.\u00a0 See pictures of the sampling I did for that.\u00a0 (Also &#8212; the idea of having mostly-cream-coloured placemats seems kind of dangerous, given that the purpose of placemats is to be in the line of food \ud83d\ude42 ).<\/p>\n<p>Measurements (for the table runner, <em>i.e.,<\/em> not including the knotted fringe):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Just off the loom:\u00a0 13 1\/4\u201d wide, 49 1\/4\u201d long<\/li>\n<li>Final
