I did a pretty standard waffle weave, with some playing around with weft colours on ridges and in valleys. One of the challenges was that the warp threads themselves came out to very different lengths &#8212; possibly I stretched them differently as I wound them?  See photos to understand the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimensions on the loom:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>21.83\u201d wide by 41\u201d (38\u201d plus 2&#215;1.5\u201d hem; the numbers shown below are for the whole towel and hem together))<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dimensions after weaving:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First towel (solid rust weft):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Just off the loom: 19.25\u201d x 39.125\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After wet finishing: 16\u201d x 30.5\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second towel (solid peach weft):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Just off the loom: 19.5\u201d x 39\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After wet finishing: 15.75\u201d x 30.5\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Third towel (light finishing: 16\u201d x 30.25\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So \u2014 approximately 25% dimensional loss in length and in width (between on-loom numbers and wet
