These are my standard socks — toe up, following Wendy’s Toe-Up pattern, and Cat Bordhi’s Riverbed Arch expansion\/plain heel.\u00a0\u00a0 For the ankle, I did entrelac to mix up the colours and break the striping.<\/p>\n

I liked the feel of the yarn, and the self-striping was fun.\u00a0 This ball didn’t have the same problem as the last colourway I used for socks<\/a>, where there was a long stretch of almost-black in one sock.\u00a0 These are clearly “fraternal”, because the colour changes were long, and I didn’t bother trying to match them up.\u00a0 Water’s like that!<\/p>\n

These did knit up a bit loose — maybe a teensy bit long for my foot, loose in the heel, and I should not have added stitches for the cuff on the ankle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
