This is yarn is 100% superfine alpaca.\u00a0 Not an obvious choice for an adult sweater — alpaca is heavy, and might have a tendancy to drag.\u00a0 On the other hand, this is quite fine, and it is a summer weight cardigan, so it seems to work.<\/p>\n

The yarn was fun to work with — it’s beautiful, and feels delightful.\u00a0 The colour variations (greens, yellows) are subtle enough not to be garish or create bad pooling, or different effects in different-width sections of the piece.<\/p>\n

The pattern is quite nice, too — it has options for capped sleeve or 3\/4 sleeve (as here), and the lace panels can be replaced by a cable pattern (provided), or any other pattern on the same number of stitches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
