Kidsilk Haze Shoulder Scarf (2008)

Yarn: Rowan Kidsilk Haze (70% super kid mohair, 30% silk)

I had one (delicious) ball of Rowan Kidsilk Haze (approx 200yds), and I wanted something that would be wide enough to cover my shoulders and provide just a little bit of extra warmth with a jacket. No need to tie in the front or have any fussy folding in front.

I turned to the Branching Out pattern, and added 6 extra stitches on either side (3 more garter stitches and some eyelet). This produced a scarf that was some 11" wide, and 47" long (blocked) -- perfect! Weighing in at less than an ounce, it's the sort of thing I can easily have in my purse or bag, and pull out in chilly meeting rooms, as needed.

	Resting on shoulders -- providing warmth across the back & shoulders, without requiring tying at the front.
	Very sproingy! A ball of energy. And, little left -- the total 25g of yarn is shown in the second picture.
	Detail -- while blocking, and post-blocking.
	Delicately swinging in the breeze.
	Comparison to previous Branching Out, knit with Fiesta's La Luz 100% silk.
